SMS Terms of Service

1. Program name and description

PolitiFast Research is the SMS opinion-research program operated by PolitiFast LLC ("PolitiFast," "we," "us," or "our"), a Wyoming limited liability company.

When you opt in at politifast.com/polling, you will receive recurring automated text messages containing short survey questions about candidates, ballot measures, and political and social issues. Surveys typically consist of a single rating, ranking, approval, or multiple-choice question that can be answered in seconds.

PolitiFast is a political polling firm; our clients are Republican-aligned and conservative organizations including candidate committees, party committees, PACs, 527 organizations, ballot measure committees, and 501(c)(4)/(5)/(6) advocacy organizations. Although our clients are partisan, our survey messages use standard, neutrally worded research questions and do not advocate for or against any candidate, party, ballot measure, or policy position. We do not send voter outreach, get-out-the-vote messaging, fundraising appeals, or campaign communications. The sponsor of any specific survey is not identified in the message itself.

2. Message frequency

Message frequency varies. Subscribers typically receive 2–6 messages per month, with potentially higher volume during active election periods or significant news events.

3. Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier's standard messaging and data rates will apply to every message you send and receive in connection with this program. PolitiFast does not charge you for participating in the program; charges, if any, come from your wireless carrier.

4. How to opt out

You can opt out of the program at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from PolitiFast Research. After replying STOP, you will receive a single confirmation message and will not receive further survey messages.

To opt back in, you may sign up again at politifast.com/polling.

6. Supported carriers and carrier disclaimer

The PolitiFast Research program is supported on major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, Virgin Mobile, and other major and regional carriers.

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Carrier support may vary, and not all handsets or carriers may support every feature of the program.

7. Privacy

Your mobile phone number and survey responses are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. PolitiFast does not sell, rent, or share mobile opt-in data, consent, or individual responses with any third party or affiliate for marketing, advertising, or affiliate purposes. Aggregated, anonymized survey results may be shared with our research clients (Republican-aligned and conservative political committees, party committees, PACs, 527 organizations, ballot measure committees, and 501(c)(4)/(5)/(6) advocacy organizations).

8. Eligibility

By opting in, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and are the subscriber or authorized user of the mobile telephone number provided. The program is available only to U.S. residents.

9. Changes to these terms

We may modify or terminate the PolitiFast Research SMS program at any time, with or without notice, for any reason. We may also update these terms from time to time. Continued participation in the program after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
